Well, it's official. We've finally reached the stage I've been dreading for over 2 years.
"Mo-om. he's touching me!"
(Seriously, the only thing worse is, "he won't stop looking at me" and we're there too.)
When I found out I was pregnant with Jay Alvin I was so excited, but my excitement was tainted by the fact that we would be here one day:
Yep, that blanket is creating a barrier between them. When we go to bed every night each boy gets to look me in the eye while I tell them, "This is your side of the bed. Stay here or I'll swat your bum."
Jay usually ends up straddling the blanket. I'm not sure if he's being defiant or if he just likes to have his leg over something. Either way, we're looking forward to being in California with our separate toddler beds.

Braaaains!!

Can you tell I've got Halloween on the brain?

Did you guess "Superman"?

If so you are pretty amazing, 'cause I didn't give you much to go on.
Do you know that it's pretty hard to take a cute picture of a boy who's faster than a speeding bullet and leaps little brothers in a single bound?
It's apparently a lot of work being a super hero.
And I'm super glad that this costume is done.
Only two more to go!

3 Cute Videos

I'm apparently the meanest mom ever. A few months ago Jay Alvin got stuck in a baby swing. Every time he tried to get out it would start rocking really hard. He was terrified and screaming for me to help him, so I ran and grabbed the camera. Then I made him try and get out 3 more times. (I know, right? But he'll thank me one day for getting this awesome video.)

Since Leo is becoming such a grown-up little boy we've started making him clean up more of his messes. A few days ago he closed the door to his bedroom and smeared Desitin all over everything. I probably could have cleaned it all up in about 10 minutes, but Leo decided it would be more fun if he took over an hour. He literally cleaned the entire mess up at this pace, and we laughed at him the whole time.

I spent the last two days canning pears. Yesterday, once I was done, Jay decided to help himself to the leftovers.

You wanna see how I spent my last 3 days?
Don't worry. I ended up with more than the two jars in the picture.
Lots more.
And I learned that it's definitely easier to buy fruit pre-canned.
Though it doesn't make you feel like a domestic goddess.
So I guess there are positives to both methods.
(But I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be thinking, "I wish I could can more fruit so I felt like a domestic goddess again," for a very long time.)
