Nirvana

So, I haven't updated in a while. It's because I've been too busy being blissfully happy here in AZ. Here's a quick summary of what's happened in the last few days. . .
Monday was full of driving. We even got a ticket for speeding and making a cop's bad day worse. (He was a super-duper-grumpy-pants man!) But we made it home safely and in relatively good time.
Tuesday was my birthday. (Happy 25th to me!) I got to go to the orthodontist. YAY! Then we had lunch with Ty's family and a barbecue dinner with mine. And I got the yummiest fancy bundt cake too. It was so tasty!
I have no recollection of what we did on Wednesday. Blame Leo for that one. It may have involved shopping. Oh yeah, I got a preggo swim suit. May I just say that I look quite similar to the love child of Jabba the Hut and Chris Farley? I seriously sat there in the dressing room and  laughed until I almost cried. Then I decided that it was way too hot to care about what I looked like in a bathing suit.
On Thursday I got to go on a field trip to the desert botanical gardens with my nieces Kassidy and Kinley.
(Yes, I really looked like that. I didn't come prepared for a field trip and had to borrow what I could to get me through the day.) I was a chaperon and I felt very grown up. I also felt very sweaty, but we had a lot of fun. We learned about the life cycles of plants and animals. Who knew cacti had so many methods of reproduction? (By the way, the woman who was our tour guide kept saying "cactuses." I wanted to correct her so badly, but I'm guessing she did it so the 2nd graders would know what she was talking about.) We also got to go into this room that was absolutely swarming with butterflies. It was very cool.
So far today we've just been hanging out and shopping for the kiddo. May I just say once again that I love AZ? And I love even more that we get to be here for three weeks, hanging out with some of our favorite people in the world. I'll probably write again soon, unless I'm just having too much fun to make the time for it.
